Balance
We are made of energy. All of us vibrating at different frequencies, resonating with the hum of life. More often than not we get thrown off balance by emotional trauma, injury, environmental changes, illness and stress. Sometimes the energy that is supposed to flow becomes stagnant and in these cases "dis-ease" sets in. To maintain the flow and proper vibration of these frequencies we need to bring the body back into balance and homeostasis using a variety of techniques.
What's it all about?
Resonance
It starts with resonance; all things begin with a single resonance. But what is resonance?
Everything in our universe is vibrating at different speeds, the tree in the garden, the chair you are sitting in. The human body sends out its own set of vibrations from every cell and organ. Did you know that each organ has its own set of frequencies? Our bodies create harmonies and resonance that generate mechanical vibrations creating our physical being.
Think of your body as a song.
When our natural bio rhythms get thrown off balance by external sounds and low level frequencies (infrasonic waves), our physical bodies absorb these frequencies which sets off an energetic cascade in the body.
CALM aims to bring back balance to the body using sound healing to help restore and release unbalanced low level vibrations and or trapped emotions stored in the tissues and fascia that cause blockages in our flow state.
Low level vibratory resonance feels dense and heavy. High vibratory resonance feels light and airy.

Energy Medicine
Everything around us is made of energy. The Chinese call it Qi, the Egyptians Ka. In India it is called Prana and in Polynesia it is called Mana. Almost every culture has recognized and named the essence of our life force.
Physics has taught us that matter is made up of vibrating molecules which hold data and information. Even something that is solid, such as a table, is vibrating all the time, and as humans, we too, are vibrating.
Molecules, pathogens, prescription medicines and emotions cause vibrations in and around our body. All of these vibrations operate at different vibratory speeds. The body we inhabit is a very complex energetic system. When these energetic signals are distorted through physical trauma, emotional trauma and energetic pulses from the environment, these can often have a direct and profound effect on both our biology and psychology.
Disease is caused by energetic imbalances in these fields and pathways; therefore health can start to be restored by balancing the energetic frequencies of the body using a variety of techniques.

Movement with Yoga
Yoga has been used for 5000 years to help move stuck or stagnant energy around the body, allowing for more ease of movement through life.
The main component of CALM's approach to yoga is energetic flow. I have over 300 hours of teacher training in Hatha Yoga and Yin Yoga combined. In my yoga classes we use longer sustained yoga holds, mudras, breath work, and meditation to help release and reorganize the subtle aspects of our being.
It is important to connect with our bodies, to FEEL the parts of ourselves that are crying out for attention. Our bodies are communicating with us all the time, we just need to take time to slow down and become attuned to the energy that's being emitted.
There is an innate intelligence that organises the whole system. If we mentally get out of the way the body will naturally start to heal itself by connecting back to our parasympathetic nervous system.
Allowing yourself time to slow down and realign into homeostasis is where the magic of yoga really happens.
